Cookies

In short: we set no cookies to track you. This page explains what is actually stored in your browser when you visit vivus.no, and why.

Our own cookies

We set none. The site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no ad networks and no chat widget. That is also why we never ask you to accept cookies — there is nothing to accept.

What the site remembers locally

One thing is stored in your browser: your choice between the light and dark appearance. It lives in the browser's own storage (localStorage) on your own device, is never sent to us, and exists only because you pressed the button. Storage like this is permitted without consent because it performs a service you asked for. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data.

Appointment booking from PasientSky

Appointment booking is provided by EG PasientSky and appears in a frame on the page. It does not load until you press to open it. Until you do, PasientSky stores nothing in your browser from this page. Once you choose to open it, PasientSky's own terms govern what they store.

We have asked EG PasientSky for a complete account of what the booking system stores in your browser once you open it, and will update this section as soon as we have their answer. We do not describe someone else's storage from guesswork.

What the server logs

The web server keeps an operational log of requests. Your IP address is shortened before it is written, so it no longer points to you alone, and the logs are deleted after 30 days. These are not cookies, but we mention them here because they are the only thing we record.

How to control this yourself

Every browser lets you view and delete stored data per site, and block storage from other sites. If you block everything, vivus.no still works — you only lose having your appearance choice remembered next time.
